HomeCertain provides credit repair, credit education, financial counseling, debt reduction support, apartment locating and relocation assistance. HomeCertain is not a law firm, not a lender, and not a real estate brokerage.

HomeCertain Real Estate is a separate and independent company. It is an assumed name (DBA) owned by a Texas limited liability company in which a licensed Texas real estate agent holds membership interest, and it is used, with written permission from that company and under an independent contractor agreement, as an assumed name of Scottie Smith & Associates Real Estate Advisors, a licensed Texas real estate brokerage, for real estate marketing and brokerage activity.

All real estate brokerage services described on this website are performed by or on behalf of Scottie Smith & Associates Real Estate Advisors. Sales agents are sponsored by the brokerage and are not licensed to operate independently.

Using one HomeCertain service never obligates you to use another. You are free to choose any real estate brokerage, lender, credit provider or counselor you wish.

Texas law requires all real estate license holders to give the Information About Brokerage Services notice to prospective buyers, tenants, sellers and landlords. The notice explains the difference between a broker representing a buyer, a seller, or acting as an intermediary. It is provided above and again at first substantive communication about a specific property.

The Texas Real Estate Commission Consumer Protection Notice explains how to file a complaint against a license holder and describes the Real Estate Recovery Trust Account. Under TREC advertising rules, all advertising must clearly identify the broker. Where the name HomeCertain Real Estate appears in real estate marketing, it is an assumed name registered to and used by Scottie Smith & Associates Real Estate Advisors. Nothing in our marketing is intended to suggest that a sales agent operates their own brokerage.

HomeCertain provides credit repair and credit education services. We cannot remove accurate, current and verifiable information from your credit report. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information yourself, at no cost, directly with the credit bureaus, and the right to obtain a free copy of your credit report. You may cancel a credit services contract without penalty within three days of signing.

No result is guaranteed. Score changes depend on your own credit history, your payment behaviour and the response of the credit bureaus and furnishers. Financial counseling is educational and is not legal, tax, investment or bankruptcy advice.

Apartment locating services are commonly paid for by the apartment community or property management company rather than by you. Where HomeCertain or Scottie Smith & Associates Real Estate Advisors receives a commission, referral fee or other compensation in connection with your lease, purchase or a partner product, that compensation will be disclosed to you. Some partner links on this site may pay us a fee.

We conduct business in accordance with the federal Fair Housing Act and the Texas Fair Housing Act. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin or any other protected class.
